Over time, fine jewelry can become a treasured family heirloom if it is cared for properly. Dust, pollution and daily wear all conspire to cloud the brilliance of gemstones. The surface of gold, platinum and silver jewelry can become dulled. Timeworn prongs and clasps can result in the loss of a stone or an entire piece of jewelry.

Professional cleanings are recommended as often as once a year. We encourage you to bring your SAFIRO jewelry back to us for professional servicing. Our staff is knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of jewelry care, including cleaning gemstones, restringing pearls and repairing clasps and earring backs.

It’s recommended to clean your diamond jewellery every one to two weeks to maintain its sparkle. Professional cleaning should be done once or twice a year.

at SAFIRO we are pleased to offer engraving.

Standard Engraving: This method uses technology to create lettering, consistently replicating our most popular styles.

There are many ways to store your jewelry, but it is important to remember that some of them can be harmful. Never use rubber containers, as these can result in accelerated tarnishing and are likely to cause the jewelry to darken. Under no circumstances should you keep your jewelry in a bathroom or any humid locations.

Follow our recommendations:

Separate jewelry by metal: this separation prevents the diamond from tarnishing when they interact with one another.
Clean your jewelry before you store it: storing dirty jewelry for a prolonged period may cause tarnishing.
Find a dry (and dark) spot to store your jewelry: humidity is jewelry’s enemy!
Make sure the pieces do not touch each other, or scratching might occur
